#156 Hawaiian Koa Wood Straight Grained Hand Turned Wood Pen
On my recent annual trek to Hawaii, I found the most gorgeous straight grained Koa wood. Koa is a rare find and is getting more rare each year we travel on our yearly wood turning adventure. I couldn't pass up this gorgeous wood. It came home safely packed in my suit case.
I created this pen with classic straight lines for a professional and clean look.
Each pen is unique because of the grain of the wood and the nature of a handcrafted wood pen. The picture is a sample, your pen will be unique. If you have any questions, please just let me know.

#253 Purple Heart Wood Pen
The Purple Heart wood used in this piece was bought from a wonderful specialty wood shop in Sacramento, California. Purple Heart wood is native to Mexico, Central and South America.
The above is a sample and your Purple Heart Wood pen may vary a bit. Each will have it's own grain and personality.
One of the interesting characteristics of purple heart wood is that it must be exposed to sunlight after it is cut in order to achieve its beautiful purple hue.
I have both a European (fat) style and a slimline (skinny) style pen available.

The Carob Wood used in this piece was from a tree the city was cutting down on South G Street in Lompoc, California.

This interesting pen is created using a .500 caliber bullet shell. You can choose the wood you'd like the pen created with. The wood shown in the picture is Honduran Rosewood.

This unique pen is created using a genuine 30 caliber shell that is plated in 24 karat gold. The wood shown is gorgeous tulip wood, but any wood can be used to create this pen. You can choose your favorite wood below.
